Lately, I’ve been wrestling with the fact that my childhood is ending. Everything as I know it is going to change. Although that is slightly exciting, it terrifies me to have to leave my childhood and everything I’ve ever known behind. I started this project to trigger nostalgia for my youth. It is essentially a compilation of images I’ve taken over my years in high school that showcase what childhood is to me. Most of these images are united under the idea of childhood innocence - a feeling of pure, uninterrupted bliss that I sometimes wish I could go back to.
