People and their pets

In summer of 2022, I took a photojournalism class at the School of the New York Times. It was hard for me at first - up until that point, I was really into experimental, very edited photography. Photojournalism presented a hurdle I had never jumped over before. It took me a couple of days to get the hang of the type of work that was expected of me, but when I did, one theme stuck out to me - the way that people interact with their pets. Pets can truly be a person best friend, and their accomplice. Often someone's dog reflects the aura they give off, and I think that is such a cute observance. There is so much to infer about a person based on what kind of dog they have and how they interact with their dog.
