The cloud of powder as the makeup brush hits the palette, the soft brush of lipstick, as it fills someone's lips with color. Makeup is such a unique and distinct part of being a feminine being. Some of my favorite memories, especially with my camp friends, is everyone crowding around the mirror, and hastily doing makeup while music blares through the speakers. Through makeup, we can all connect through our femininity, and that, for me, is such a beautiful thing. Through this project, completed at the end of my senior year of high school, I attempted to capture the subtleties of this girly activity that I love so much.
